Sally was born and raised in New Orleans before eventually making Atlanta her home for over 30 years. She studied journalism and mass communication at The University of Colorado at Boulder and earned her law degree from Emory University School of Law.

After working as a staff attorney at Fulton County Superior Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals, she spent several years as a stay-at-home mom. Most recently, Sally worked for 10 years as a communications coordinator at an Atlanta independent school.

Sally lives in Sandy Springs with her husband and golden retriever and has two daughters in college. Fun facts about her are that she is a former client and appears as an extra in Pitch Perfect 3.
